Arty, the Alumable arctic fox mascot, as a plush toy

Meet Arty, our mascot, the arctic fox

Why Arty?

Art is more important than ever. In an age where AI can do a lot of things, creativity, taste and human expression are what still make you you. That's the bit we want students to hold onto.

And why an arctic fox? They are small and live somewhere genuinely brutal. It survives anyway, by being adaptable, resourceful and resilient. It changes its coat with the seasons, ranges further than anything its size should, and makes a living where most animals simply can't.

  • Adaptable
  • Resilient
  • Resourceful

That's the graduate job market. It's cold out there. Getting your first role takes all three of those things. Arty is here to remind you that you've got them.
